Yesterday, facebook announced that in addition to breaking the 300 million user mark worldwide, extending their lead as the biggest social network, facebook is now cash flow positive. 5 Years after launching, and millions of dollars in investment later, facebook is generating more cash than it burns.
Financial estimates made earlier this year didn’t expect facebook to reach cashflow positive until 2010 at the earliest.

Today facebook extended its lead as the worlds largest and most successful social network. This comes as no suprise, facebook hit the 250 million user mark back in July, 2009. Congratulations facebook, keep up the good work.

Facebook will be launching a new section of their site called Facebook Labs. This will be similar to what google has done with Google Labs.
It will be used to showcase new features. Out of the three Prototypes created so far, currently available to the public is Desktop Notifications, a slick Mac OSX app, initially spotted by the team at TechCrunch.

Today, Facebook launched Facebook Lite in the U.S. and India. This new verson of facebook is much cleaner than the current standard Facebook, and much nicer to look at. Did I mention much, much faster?
The unveiling of Facebook Lite comes as the company continues working to find ways to monetize its vast user community while continuing to expand services and features.

Having problems logging into your Facebook account?
There are many reasons you may not be able to log into your facebook account. The first thing to do is make sure that your internet connection is working, try visiting a very popular site like google.com . If your internet connection works and you still can’t connect, your network may be blocking access to facebook, in which case you would want to use a proxy server to acces facebook.
Another reason may have to do with your account status at facebook. You may need to contact facebook staff via email or through the site to resolve the problem with you account.
The last thing may be that facebook is acutally down. In this situation all you can do is sit and wait for the site to come back online.
