In this tutorial we will see how to search for networks/group and join them. We’ll also see how to invite people to a group or how finally, how to leave a group.
Joining a group.
1. Click on the group 
icon located at the bottom left of the page. The group page will look like the image below.
This is your ‘Groups’ page.
1. You can view all the groups that you have joined or created by going through the ‘My Groups’ link.
2. ‘Browse Groups’ link gives you the option to search for groups based on categories and subcategories.
3. If you want to search and join some specific groups, you can use the search box. Type your keyword and press enter. You will be provided with the list of groups that matches your criteria. You can join a group by clicking on the ‘Join Group’ link, though it is always advisable to check out the group before you join it least you join a group that is inactive or a completely useless one.
If you want to join groups where your friends are already a member check your profile wall. When one of your friend joins a group or a network, notifications will be posted on your profile wall. You can go join the particular network/group through ‘Join This Group’ link provided in the notification.
Another way is to go to your friends’ profile. Select the info tab and under the groups sub-heading, groups that your friend is already a member of will be listed there. You can simply click on the group name which will take you to the network/group’s page.
Once you join a group it can be accessed through your ‘Groups’ page.
Remember that if the group that you want to join is a closed group instead of the joining directly, you will have a ‘Send Request’ option instead of the ‘Join’ button. Send your request and wait for approval from the groups admin/s. Once approved, you will be a member of the group and enjoy all the benefits of a member of that group. There is no way to search for a secret group, as they will not show up in your search result, but you can certainly get invitations from any secret group. Secret groups can be joined through invitation only.
Inviting people to a group
Once you join a group you will be able to invite others to join the group. To do this,
1. Go to your your ‘Groups’ page and select ‘My Groups’ link.
2. Select the group where you want to invite other.
3. Right under the group’s profile picture, select the ‘Invite People to Join’ link.
4. Select the friends to whom you want to send the invitation. You can also invite people via emails. Enter as many emails as you like separated by commas. Enter a personal message if you like and send invitation.
Leaving a group
To leave a group,
1. Go to your ‘Groups’ page. Then,
2. Go to ‘My Groups’. Click on the ‘Leave Group’ option located on the right of the group.
