Football Fever with Future Release of Facebook Madden

The Super Bowl season had just ended but that does not mean that so will the craze. In fact, the football fever is just about to hit Facebook.

In an interview on Bloomberg Television, EA (Electronic Arts) Sports president, Peter Moore, said that a Facebook version of Madden NFL will soon be released on the social networking site to make the game more accessible. Taking advantage of Facebook’s 400 million users may be just the right move. However, unlike the Madden NFL that we are used to, Facebook Madden will be a lot less complicated than its console versions. In addition, like all games on Facebook, it will be free-to-play.

Madden NFL Football Fever with Future Release of Facebook Madden

Madden NFL is a bestselling American football video game. The game is named after John Madden, a Professional Football Hall of Famer, a successful former Super Bowl coach for the Oakland Raiders, and a retired sports commentator.

This move is in line with, EA’s Chief Executive Officer, John Riccitiello’s goals for the company: to increase sales from games published online and on mobile gadgets. They have already started bringing EA games to Facebook with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 and FIFA 09 (Fédération Internationale de Football Association).

Unfortunately for us who are eager to see the Facebook version of Madden NFL, the release date has not yet been decided and announced. Let us just hope that it will be really soon.
