It’s because Facebook is rolling out the updates to accounts and users gradually.

This actually makes a lot of sense. It gives Facebook a little bit more of time to flesh out some areas that need improvement as well as prevent users from feeling overwhelmed with a radically new design suddenly being imposed upon them.

As with the web version, so shall the same be for mobile. The updates for the mobile versions of the new News Feed will also be introduced gradually over the next few weeks. Apple fans rejoice as Facebook for iPhone and iPad will be the first to receive the update. Facebook for Android will also receive the update but at a later date.

What’s not to like about the new update? It’s clean, it’s interactive, it’s beautiful, and it is amazingly functional. If you’re excessively eager about the update, here’s a simple trick for you to move up the line. Go to the Facebook page for the News Feed update which can be found here. At the bottom of the page, there’s a button that will allow you to join the waitlist. Click on that and hopefully, we all get the brand new News Feed design shortly.
