fb legacy of rome 6Waves and InnoWate Launches Legacy Of Rome On FacebookLegacy of Rome is the latest Facebook game quietly (didn’t heard it was coming) launched by 6waves and InnoWate. Credits to gamezebo for finding it.

The game as you all might guess is a city building game, but it’s not like most of the city-building or virtual world game on Facebook. If you have played Playfish’s My Empire, then you will see some similarities.

Legacy of Rome is very detailed and realistic. It starts with Ceaser telling the player to get ready to take over the reins of building Rome into a successful empire.

You are given a quick tutorial of the game and you are on your own icon sad 6Waves and InnoWate Launches Legacy Of Rome On Facebook . Anyway once one get the hang of it, this game is sure to impress and hold you in its grasp.

There are too many menus under menus if one take a look, but basically the whole idea of the game is to management the basic resources of the game (gold, stone, and lumber), population and progress of the city.

For the basic resources like stone and lumber, appropriate buildings need to be built to collect the resources over time. Buildings can be upgraded to get increased amount of resources. Gold on the other hand is determine by the number of residents in the form of taxes. Players can also add their friends as population. New people comes to a players empire everyday and settles if there are free residents. In game plans, shrubs, ferns, and other decorative elements can be moved to decorate the empire.

Advisors are an important element of the game, who are appointed for a set amount of time to give advice on sanitation, happiness, and population (friends can also be appointed as advisors). Another interesting element is – Players can visit their friend’s empire and send out slaves either to help or loot them (Unfortunately, this  is not functional yet).

As a player level up, they get power/authority to build new types of buildings.

The game is very slow paced (some building takes more than a day to complete). The game also have options to accelerate building like instant build but you need to cash in real cash to buy game credits called ‘rings of power’.

All in all, Legacy of Rome boast of a very detailed and splendid graphics and game play, but getting the hang of the game needs time and dedication. For the patient, strategy-game lovers, this is one game that should not be missed.
