Gamigo AG Enters Social Networking Scene With Jade Tales

Hamburg-based Gamigo AG, one of the leading publishers of MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) in Europe entered the world of social media games with the release of Jade Tales.

Jade Tales, is a fantasy RPG (Role Playing Game) developed by Crafty, which can be played on Facebook. The game already has an active community of followers.

Patrick Streppel, member of the executive board, said “With more than 6.7 million users in Germany alone, Facebook is of course also extremely important for the gaming industry. Naturally, it is only logical for gamigo, as one of the most successful gaming brands in Europe, to enter the realm of social media networks. The first step has been made successfully with Jade Tales; more games will follow in the near future.

Jade Tales takes the players to a hidden world in which the village of the Amazons must be protected from Viking invaders and other Amazonians. Players can earn gold and experience by completing daily quests. Players can log in to the game easily via their Facebook account and connect with friends to watch their progress. And as with any other social games, send gifts or challenge them to a duel. Players will also be able to team up with friends to go into battle against evil.

Gamigo AG, a subsidiary of Axel Springer AG, has been a major player in the world of online games since it was founded in 2000. Some of their popular products are Fiesta Online,Pirate Galaxy, Regnum online, Neosteam etc.
