Ninja Saga on Facebook

January 8, 2010

We have discussed about Ninja Warz on this page, and there are more of these types of games on Facebook. However, there is one ninja game that would probably tickle the fancy of Facebook gamers.

Known as the Ninja Saga, it has approximately 1.9 million monthly active users. However, with the growing trend number of ninja games on Facebook, there is a looming copyright infringement issue for this game. This game has a close resemblance to the Naruto series produced by Crunchyroll. The art, the attacks, the effects, and the background architecture are almost identical to Naruto, even the story line itself.

The main goal is to be the “Kage” or the head ninja. The player will undergo different types of missions depending on the level and rank of his or her character. After the tutorial, the character would be promoted to “Genin”, the lowest ranking ninja. As the “Genin” undergoes missions, it will gain experience and increase abilities. In this game friends can be invited to join your party, which would make the game more interesting and fun, or you could ask them to fight you in a combat.

As with any other games in Facebook, there are certain things you need to purchase to equip or to customize your character. There is also an option wherein the player can purchase a pet for his character (depending on the strength and the rank of the character)! The user can either use the in-game currency gold or buy Saga Tokens with real money.
