Facebook Games: Ninja Warz Battling its Way to the Top

A fresh application on Facebook called Ninja Warz lets the players create their very own Ninja Army and basically conquer the world (or an island, at least)! The game was developed by Broken Bulb Studios who also developed “My Town” and “Your Christmas Tree” games on Facebook. The future looks promising for this new game as it now has almost 600,000 monthly active users. Gamers as well as the developer will have to wait, though, to see if this game will be included in the A-list for Facebook games in the months to come.

To play, the gamer must choose a clan. There are three: the Shadow, the Lotus, and the Fire clans.

The concept is to challenge other ninja armies and acquire gold to buy new equipment, to level up, and receive “karma”. Players can select whom to fight. The game requires the player to save up and buy more ninjas. It also has a feature called “Daimyo” that lets players exchange currency and claim prizes.

However, there are minor hindrances to the success of this game. First, there is a long load time between battles. This is because the player has to exit the Flash module to choose an opponent and then reenter the module to play the game. Second, there is the “Ally requirement” for several relics. That is, to get a certain relic the player must invite a minimum number of friends to the game.

Despite these, this game is fun to play. It is also very amusing to watch those cute ninjas during a battle! The game’s success is now up to the gamers, if Ninja Warz will continuously tickle their fancy, and if the developer will continue to incorporate new perks in playing the game.
