How To Manage Your Photos

November 3, 2009

We have seen in the earlier tutorial on how to upload photos and create album. In this tutorial we will see how we can manage our photos. Go to your photos through the photo tab from the profile. All your photo albums will be listed in your photo tab.  See the image below.

Now, in your ‘Photo’ tab you will see the different albums that you have created. You can view an album by click on the album. You can edit, organize, or share the photos of an album once you are inside that album. You can also upload more photo into that album. All this have been discussed in the ‘How To Upload Photo In Facebook’.

Just above the list of album, you will see two options:
1. View Comments: This option will list all the comments that have been commented on photos uploaded by you.
2. Album Privacy: This album will enable to set privacy policies on your photos. You can edit or set your photo privacy through this option. By default all your photo will be set as open, or more specifically everyone can view your photo unless you have some other global setting of your facebook account. By default your profile can be view by someone who is connected to you.
Click on the ‘Album Privacy’, and next to each album you will see privacy options. Click on the drop down list and select the privacy options that you want to keep. With ‘Customize’ option you have greater options on you photo privacy like granting access to particular friends groups, or putting exceptions on some friends. All the options will have some information on what they do. So, it’s pretty easy to know what you are looking for. Once you are done save the changes.

If you want to create a new album you have the ‘Create a Photo Album’ on the top-right side of the photo tab. Privacy setting can be given/selected while creating a new album itself.
