In this tutorial we will learn about uploading videos to facebook. Video uploading is basically the same as uploading photos on facebook. There is something to remember though. There are some conditions for uploading videos and that is,
The video is under 100 MB and under 2 minutes.
The video was made by you or your friends.
You or one of your friends appears in the video.
If you want to upload videos which are more than 100 MB in size, then you will need to verify your account. Click on the ‘Verify account’ link. You will need to enter your mobile phone number, where they will send you a confirmation code. Once you receive the code, enter and confirm it.
Follow the steps to upload videos from your pc.
1. Go To your profile.
2. Select the wall tab
3. Click on the ‘Video’ icon within the publisher or the one present at the bottom of the page.
4. In the page that loads, you will have three options.
Share your personal videos.
Record and send video messages
Publish videos from your mobile.
Publishing videos from your mobile will be talk about in coming tutorials. Record and send video messages is the same as attaching a video in your message and you’ll need a web cam to do that. For now, select ‘Share your personal videos’ option. Video upload dialog box will appear.
Browse and select the video that you want to upload.
5. Enter a title and description for the video. Once the video is uploaded, it will be processed or encoded with facebook video encoder. It usually more than 5 minutes to process a video.
When your video is processed, you will see it in your videos page. Select a video by clicking on it. On the next page you can:
Share: You can share it anytime with your friends. When you share it, the video will be published on your profile wall. Your friends will also get a notification on their profile wall.
You also have the option to send it as a message. A note to remember here is that, you can send videos from the message feature too but you need to have a web cam. If you don’t have a web cam, but still want to send some videos along with message, you can use the feature available here.
View: Here you have the option to view your video in high quality or regular quality.
Tag: Tag your friends appearing in the video.
Edit: Edit the video title and description
Delete: Delete the video permanently.
Embed: You can use the provided code to display your video on any site on the web.The video will respect your privacy settings from Facebook.
