The facebook account homepage is the first page that you see when you log in to your facebook account. When someone views your facebook account, they will see your profile page. There are some similarities between your home page and your profile page. Both the page will have wall where notifications will be posted. Things that you publish and share will also be posted on both walls. Sometimes some notifications will be on the the homepage while some more will be present on your profile wall. It won’t hurt to check out both, least you miss out on some important notification. Your homepage will also contain notifications on the wall.
The circled areas in the image above is where you get notifications about all requests made to you. Request can be for becoming friends on facebook, groups request, events request, or request to use some application. Just click on any of the request listed and you will be taken to a page where all request will be listed.
All request will be accompanied by two or more options. Option to accept or deny the request. Some request comes with ‘Block this application’ link. If you don’t like using or don’t use the particular application, and you get lots of request for using that application, you can check that option and further request for using that application will not be notified to you.If you don’t like receiving any type of request from some particular person, you can also block that person from sending more request in the future from the available option.
One thing to remember here is to accept any application request, you have to allow that particular application to extract information from your profile, which will be mostly your profile name, date of birth, and some other information according to the application.
On the left hand side of your home page, you will see the news reel/notification section. Under the news reel, all types of notification category will be given. If you want to see only the notification of a particular category, you can select that particular category to view all the notifications under that category. This feature is very handy and helpful when you have hundreds of notifications. People with lots of friends easily get hundreds of notifications within a few hours. Some people are very active in making friends online, while some add friends to grow stronger in facebook games. Either way, such people will even have more than 2000+ friends. So it’s not impossible to get pages and pages of notifications and request every day.
So, using some of the ways we have discuss here will help you not to miss out on important notifications somewhere between all the notifications you will get.
