I am sure you have gone through our first part of the tutorial on how to use your profile wall.

In the image above, i have boxed the profile wall area. If you look at you profile wall, notifications of all your recent activities will be published here. Notifications of your friends activities are also posted here. Recent activities are notified on the profile wall. Older post/activities are hidden or more appropriately ‘collapsed’ into a button ‘Older Post’, which can be view by clicking the button.
Similar notifications will be grouped together. Right after each notifications you’ll find a number of option depending on the activity notified. Whatever action you take will be reflected on your profile wall. This particular effect will also be seen on your friends’ profile wall. Some of the common options available are:
1. Comment: This option allows you to comment on the particular activity.
2. Like: This option allows you to show that you like the particular item, whether it a photo, video, comment, note or whatever.
3. Share: This option mostly, appear on notifications regarding photos, videos, links, notes etc.. It allows you to share something to your friends. When you share a particular item, you have the option to publish it or send it as a message. Sending videos in message is difficult without a web cam from the facebook message feature, but there are ways of sending videos in messages, and this is one way.
Now, some notifications as you see will be sort of useless, some will be something that you would like others to see when they view your profile. So, you can delete unwanted notifications by clicking on the ‘Remove’ button that comes up when you move your mouse to a particular notification.
For some notifications, you will see a ‘Hide’ button instead of the ‘Remove’ button. This particular button comes with two option.
1. In the first option you will have Hide + Friends name. If you select this button, facebook will hide all the notifications about this particular friend. Don’t use this option unless, your friend is hyperactive in facebook and 90% of your profile wall is fill with notifications of his/her not-worth-knowing activities.
2. If the notification is regarding some particular facebook application, then a second option will be available which will be like ‘Hide + application’s name’. If you choose this option, all further notifications regarding that particular application of any of your friends will not be published on your profile wall.
Using these options will help you in managing your profile wall, but keeping only what you like/need
On the top right of the profile wall you will notice an ‘Options’ button. This options allows you to select whose notifications you wall to be published on your wall. As told in earlier tutorial, it is best to leave the option as it is. You might as well try the different options and see for yourself. Nothing can go wrong there
.
Pssst…. I am sure you might have noticed that notifications also appear on your home page and sometimes more notifications are available there. You should and can do exactly the same thing that we discussed here.
I hope this small tutorial will help you lots while using facebook.

I could use the old Facebook without tutorials of any kind.It seems that everyone else is also having problems so why don’t you put things back the way they were. This is a disaster!!!!!!
Very informative post. I’ve found your site via Bing and I’m really happy about the information you provide in your articles. Btw your blogs layout is really messed up on the Kmelon browser. Would be really great if you could fix that. Anyhow keep up the great work!
