Facebook Users always had to live through several days of waiting and suspense to complete the process of deleting their Facebook account. This waiting period, 14 days to be precise, is nothing but a time of ‘trials and temptations’ – a time of constant remainder of what one will lose if they delete their account
.
What’s more? It was also really difficult to find the option to DELETE FACEBOOK ACCOUNT PERMANENTLY, as there is no such option available in the Account Settings Tab. One has to go to frequently asked question section of Facebook Help Center and finally come to the delete Facebook account page.
But now, Thank God! According to a report on Slashdot, Facebook is finally added a ‘delete account’ button, which is of course available to only a small section of Facebook users, like they always test any new updates.
This is a long-awaited and very-much-expected feature from Facebook.
Once this feature is rolled-out on a full scale, deleting your Facebook account will be a breeze, compared to the current process. The ‘Deactivate Account’ button which is accessible under the Account Settings tab, will be listed under a new heading labelled “Deactivate or Delete your Account”.
So far, Facebook have been heavily criticized whenever they rolled out any major changes. But, this time , i believe, the change (though not major, but a critical one) which is already on its way will be a welcomed one!
