Facebook Dominates Online Advertising In The U.S.

Facebook, according to ComScore, has become the top internet publishing site in the third quarter in the U.S.

According to the ComScore report, Facebook served a total of 297 billion online display ads, which accounted for 23 percent of all internet display ads served in the third quarter.

Facebook grabbed more ad impression than the next four companies Yahoo! Sites, Microsoft Sites, Fox Interactive Media, and Google Sites combined.

Overall, the online display ad market in U.S. jumped by 22 percent in the third quarter from last year.

On the receiving end, more than 6,000 ads were delivered to the average U.S. Internet user.
