Facebook Helps Remember Your Anniversaries

How often do you forget your anniversary? Forgotten anniversary, embarrassing moments, fights, break-ups and the list goes on for many people. Many sitcom episode and romantic comedies creates subplots based on this.  So, it doesn’t matter how many anniversaries you have forgotten or missed if you make sure you don’t missed it again in future. Facebook will also help you in doing so .

Facebook is adding a new Anniversary field under its Relationship Status tab, and after you have enter the required fields.

Facebook will then remind you of upcoming anniversaries in the form of events.

Now, if you are curious about the privacy implications of this: your anniversary will be shared based on the information you select in the Profile Information privacy page next to “Family and Relationship”. If your friends can see your relationship information, then they can see your anniversary information too, but they will not be alerted as in the case of birthdays.

For those who takes pride in showing off their relationship status, this will be an added tool. As for those, who likes to keep things private, this might not seem necessary and/or will be worried about privacy, but i feel such people might not have missed many important date in their life.

So, i think this is a pretty cool feature for all those forgetful Facebook users.
