Jamere Holland Jamere Holland Dismissed For Facebook Post

Oregon Ducks WR Jamere Holland

Jareme Holland was shown the door from his Oregon Football team for violating team rules. He fell victim to his own Facebook post.

Oregon coach Chip Kelly said in a statement released by the school that Holland was dismissed for violating team rules.

According to reports, Holland posted a statement on Facebook about Oregon Ducks linebacker Kristian “Kiko” Alonso’s arrest early Saturday. Holland mistakenly thought Alonso had been sacked and blasted the move as unfair and damaging to the Ducks.

In later post, he wrote: “I wish I could block whites as friends and only have blacks LOL, cause apparently I’m misunderstood.”

Atheletic director Mike Bellotti told The Oregonian how frustrated he is with Holand: “We’ve given this guy so many chances. We’ve had many sit-down, very serious talks.”

School spokesman Dave Williford said Alonso remains on the team, “contrary to Internet reports, rumors and Jamere Holland.”

Alonso is the fourth player to be arrested in the past month after LaMicheal James, Rob Beard and Matt Simms.
