Study: Twitter Users Sexier Than Facebook Users

February 19, 2012

A new study suggests that Twitter users are more likely to describe themselves as sexy, and get more sex than Facebook users.

The study conducted by marketing agency Euro RSCG surveyed 1,000 Twitter and Facebook-using US adults about their attitudes towards sex and sexuality, as part of its annual Valentines’ Day survey, and found out that Twitter users were more sexier than Facebook users. Twitter users outperformed Facebook users in almost every question.

While the sample size is small, I guess the result is pretty interesting. Matt Silverman at Mashable says the result might be so because people on Facebook are connected more closely and people tend to shy away from flirting and/or sex talk, while Twitter is a more anonymous place. I guess I will have to agree with him on that.
