Kennedy Center’s 9/11 tribute concert will be streamed live on Facebook
To mark the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the tribute concert presented by the Kennedy Centre and The New Republic magazine, will be streamed live via Facebook at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
This special tribute will feature performances by Denyce Graves, Emmylou Harris, Melissa Leo, Wynton Marsalis, Raul Esparza and the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by John Mauceri.
Besides, commemorative remarks and readings will be offered by Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, Madeleine Albright, Leon Wieseltier, and other guest speakers. ABC’s Christiane Amanpour is hosting the event.
Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes says the event will be streamed live on the social networking site. He says people can share their memories of 9/11 and reflections on the anniversary on Facebook before, during and after the concert.
