The annual Crunchies Awards was established to recognize startups and innovations in technology and on the internet.
Last Friday, 8 January 2010, at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco, Facebook received the top price at the Crunchies Awards 2009: Best Overall Startup/Product award for three years in a row!
This year’s Awards were co-hosted by GigaOm, VentureBeat, and TechCrunch. It is the third since these awards was established.
Facebook was nominated twice: for Best Overall Startup/Product and for Best Design (Facebook Mobile). Facebook won the former and was runner-up for the latter.

- Aaron Patzer of Mint (for Founder of the Year)
- Mark Pincus of Zynga (for CEO of the Year)
