<p>Facebook opened up registrations for vanity usernames back in June.  Over 50 million users registered them, and now all of those people can log into facebook.com using their vanity username instead of their registration email.</p>
<p>Usernames are shorter and  easier to remember. It’s a typical practice of many websites to allow users to log in with either an email or a username.</p>
