As a revolution to social gaming, Electronic Arts (EA) in collaboration with Sims Studio and Playfish, is launching a simulation games called “The Sims Social”, a Facebook version if its 100m-selling ”virtual soap opera”. The Sims Social is a whole new entertainment experience game with uniquely playful and creative elements.

The Sim Social, Coming Soon On Facebook

It allows players anytime, anywhere to create and control their Sims.  Build a bachelor pad or dream houses, spark friendships and romances, and have exciting adventures hooking up with their Facebook friends. Players can choose from different personality types, such as creative and Romantic for their Sims.

The primary objective of the game is to keep the Sim happy by satisfying a set of basic needs such as hygiene, fun, socialization, sleep hunger or bladder capacity.

The game is being all about socialization among Sims, but the actual social elements in the game come from standard gifting of virtual items, visiting friends’ in-game houses, recruiting friends to complete construction of new rooms and new objects and from interaction between the player’s Sim and their friends’ Sims governed by a permissions system.

fb petville Zynga Launches PetVille On FacebookZynga, the company behind hit Facebook games like FarmVille and Cafe World, is going all out with the “ville” games. While many are still getting used to the idea of FishVille, which followed close to FarmVille and YoVille, the company has gone ahead and launched a new Facebook sim game called PetVillie.

According to the company, PetVille allow Facebook users to “raise, dress, and care for a pet” that they have creaed. Gamers can also visit their friends’s houses and play with their pets to earn coins that can be use to make their house the coolest on the block.

PetVille joins the legions of pet simulation games like Pet Society, Happy Pets and NeoPets.

On a quick impression note the game seems highly inspired by PlayFish’s Pet Society (which inturn borrowed heavily from Nintendo games such as Nintendogs and Animal Crossing).

PetVille follows Zynga’s recent patterns of letting other companies innovate a game category, review what works, then release their own version of the game using their secret social game sauce.

Going by Zyngna’s recent run of their games, PetVille might soon be a leader on the Facebook gaming chart or atleast on the pet simulation games.

If you have enjoyed Zynga’s games in Facebook, this one too seems fine to give a try, though it seems heavily inspired by PetSociety.

Zynga Games on Facebook

October 13, 2009

As if checking your Facebook wasn’t already a top priority on your cyber “to do” list!  Now you’ve got another addiction to lose yourself in.  Zynga and Facebook have joined together in providing Facebook users an opportunity to create their own cyber dream world.  These games will become as much of a routine as it is for you to update your status.  Don’t believeme, give it a try!  Grow your mafia in Mafia Wars, harvest your farm in Farmville, and let other Diva’s know whose boss in Diva Wars or show your house sisters how it’s done in Sorority Life.  Don’t be fooled though, these are never ending games.  The moment you think you’ve come so far, Zynga manages to create more levels, hence where the addiction slowly eats away at your resistance.

Oh, did I mention that you must use energy, health, stamina, money and strength to survive?  Yes people, that’s what keeps you coming back for more!  You’re 100 experience points away from the next level but have run out of energy to accomplish another job.  So you wait.  You wait so patiently and as you wait, the addiction has fully grown into an obsession.  Get addicted!
