There’s a new game coming to Facebook this year. Introducing: Platinum Life. This game will put you in the shoes of a hip-hop star.
Developed by Heatwave Interactive, Platinum Life lets you get a taste of how the hip-hop music industry works: from being an unsigned music talent to a potentially big time star — depending on how you play the game, of course. The game will chronicle your rise to stardom and what path you choose: be an in-demand hip-hop super star, a big time hip-hop music mogul, or stay as a small-fry in underground hip-hop gigs.
You’ll start the game as a small-time hip-hop musician. You get signed to perform at local bars and use your skills to prove yourself in the underground music scene. You’ll then get to choose your crew (your Facebook friends), get the chance to be signed by a record label, battle your way up through the ranks, and eventually live the life of a hot property hip-hop celebrity.
The road to the top of the hip-hop music industry will not be without obstacles, of course. But along the way, you’ll have the perks of performing tasks for big name hip-hop stars. After all, it pays to hang around with the best artists for connections to help you break into the mainstream music business.
But that’s not all. Platinum Life boasts of elaborate character customization features. From clothing to jewelry, players can have more than 500 items in their inventory. And if you dig role-playing, Platinum Life also has a head-to-head battle feature.
So get geared up. Platinum Life is targeted to be launched on Facebook very soon.
