FaceMash, a defunct website build by Facebook founder has been bought by an unknown buyer for $30,201 in an auction.
FacebMash, was build when Mark Zuckerberg was a sophomore at Harvard University. The site which took photos from Harvard’s servers and let users compare and vote for the “hotter” photo between two photos. The site became a hit but university’s administrators shut it down. After that Zuberberg went on to build Facebook.
The domain name which expired in 2007 was reportedly bought by Rahul Jahn who put up the domain for sale on Australian-based auction site Flippa.
The domain name was bought by yesterday for $30,201 by an anonymous buyer. It is believed that the buyer is certainly not Mark Zuckerberg.
