music on Facebook

Facebook is one website with different kinds of games. There are games that glue us to the monitor, games that make us spend money, and games that help others. One such game is Hit or Not.

Hit or Not Hit or Not: New Facebook Game for Music Lovers

Hit or Not was recently launched by TheBizmo, a tool where independent music artist can promote and sell their work. The game starts with your “owning” a record label.

Increasing the influence of your company (from obscurity to global dominator) can be achieved by doing two tasks. The first is listening to 30-second song clips by unsigned bands or artists. Based on these short clips, you must rate the songs from 0 to 100. Then you get a Hit Spotter score based on the average rating other people have given the song. Second, you have to sign songs then trade or sell them later, like stocks, to earn HN$ (Hit or Not dollars). HN$ can be used to sign up or listen to more songs.

This game is beneficial to the independent and unknown artists as well as the player. The featured artists do not have access to big promoters and record labels. So when they promote their songs through TheBizmo, they get exposure via the game. They can also earn through the game because it gives the players an option to buy an Mp3 version of most of the songs. The best players, on the other hand, have the chance to be invited to the Advisory Board which has real effect on the real music industry.

So what are you waiting for? Try and see if you have the ear for hits.
