Nude photographs of a teenage victim was added to her Facebook profile by her attackers
A gang of five members, three women and two men has been sentence to a total 18 and half years in prison, for stripping a 16 year old teenage girl in a park and then posting pictures of her on Facebook.
The victim, who can’t be named, was kidnap by the gang with the intention of revenge for an unpaid £50 debt. She was locked stripped and her nude photographs were taken and were later posted on her Facebook profile page.
Subjected to the ‘humiliating and degrading’ ordeal, the girl had even tried to kill herself two days after she was abducted.
Pc Andrew Birks, from Lambeth CID, said: “This is a horrific case where the victim was subjected to hours of abuse, assault and humiliation by defendants who told police a string of lies to conceal their involvement.
“Through the bravery of that child, the jury has been able to recognize the truth behind the events of that day and to reach the verdicts that they have.
“The events themselves left a traumatic mark on her life, made worse by having to appear in court and relive them because these defendants continued their trail of deceit.”
The accuse were identified as Victoria Beckford and Sian Roberts (who took the nude photo in Crystal Palace park in south London and added them to the teenage Facebook page), accompanied by Siobhan Vaughan, Antonio Williams and Dannielo Johnson. They are serving their own jail terms and all of them are put on sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
