Alicia Keys' Facebook Fan Page
Fans of Alicia Keys on Facebook will have another reason to check her Facebook Page. This is the first time a world-famous artist has debuted their album through the site.
Keys released her new album “The Element of Freedom” exclusively on her Facebook Page today. The real album released is due on December 15th, but fans will be able to tune in to her Facebook Page and stream the album for free, though they will not be able to download digital copies.
We all know that it is not a new thing for artists to debut albums and songs through the web, but this has long been an area dominated by MySpace. MySpace still has its own share of exclusives, but given the amount of attention Facebook has been receiving in the last few months, it is not surprising the Facebook is starting to get its share of exclusives.
This exclusive promotion is sponsored by American Express and powered by Involver‘s, a company which builds widgets and applications and has powered more than 20,000 Facebook Pages, new app called “Music for pages.”

A screenshot of Nonja's Facebook Page
An orangutan who takes pictures of her surroundings is attracting thousands of fans on Facebook in just a couple of days.
This orangutan, named Nonja, of the Vienna zoo has a Facebook page named “Nonja”, to showcase her photography talent.
More than 14,000 people around the world have become fan of this 33-year-old Nonja. Nonja uses a specially adapted Samsung ST 1000 digital camera to captures her companions and their habitat in Vienna Zoo.
Every image taken by Nonja is uploaded directly to her Facebook album via wi-fi.
But there is a catch; the camera is modified in such a way that every time the shutter button is pushed, a raisin pops out. So, this camera-toting ape is evidently more interested in tasty treats than photography.
