But very few people actually use all the features. You can attach photos, videos and links along with your message. Using these features gives a cooler look to your messages. You can send photos or videos which you don’t want others to see. Moreover, while you are using facebook, why would you bother to send photos or videos through your other mail accounts when you can do it on facebook?

Well, let’s have a look at how we can do that. Firstly, just for the sake of tutorial let’s go to our inbox. Message center in facebook is hard to miss, because when you have a new mail or unread mail/s, facebook will notify you with a icon. The number ’2′ next to the inbox indicates how many unread messages you have, which i am sure you already know.

To read the message, click on inbox and click a message to read it.

To send a message, go to inbox –> compose new message. Now just below the message text-box you will find three icons like this: .

The first icon is used to attach photo/picture to your message. The next icon is used to attach video, but you need to have a cam attached to your pc to be able to send a video. The last icon is to attach links.

All facebook users might have already notice these icons, but i wonder how many actually used it. Attaching photos or links can actually make your message look really cool. Look at the images below and you’ll know what i am talking about.

Messages with attached photos/pictures also looks better and conveys the message better. All of us have heard the saying “A picture is worth a thousand words”.

I hope you got my message

Sometimes you might not be very sure about you friends name, as many people change their names in facebook. In that case go to your friend’s profile from your friends list and just below their profile there is a ‘Send a Message’ link. Once you send a message facebook will remember their name for you.

In the inbox dialog, you have compose, mark as unread, report spam, and delete option, which i guess is pretty self-explanatory. With this we’ll end this tutorial here with the hope that you’ll start using the above explained features.
