Rounds, a social entertainment platform on Facebook, that was launched around 6 months back has now surpassed 350,000 monthly active users, and will be expected to gain more in the future with the latest update.
The latest update introduces Random Rounds and a number of games to its library. With the new Random Rounds feature, instead of just calling a friend, members can now pick any game or activity and enjoy it by themselves or with someone totally new.
Rounds has taken a number of precautions to tackle concerns like matching a 12-year-old girl with a 45-year-old man. There is no anonymity in Rounds as your name and user profile are clearly presented during chats. Users are also need to have over 100 friends to participate in Random Rounds, to discourage users from creating new accounts just to do dirty things. The system is also smart enough not to make inappropriate matches like the concern mentioned above.
Some of the cool features of the app includes video chats, take snapshots of each other, use webcam effects, watch Youtube videos simultaneously, play multi-player games, browse websites like Facebok, google Maps, Flickr etc right from the Rounds app environment.
If you haven’t check out this app, try it. It has been around since August 2010.
