Texas Hold em’ in Facebook

Poker fanatics invade Facebook with its social-gaming app called the Texas Hold em’. As of December 1, 2009, the online Poker game ranks no. 7 with 19.7 million users, earning approximately $100 million.

Before playing Texas Hold em’, a player-to-be must log into Facebook. Once logged in, the user can now try his luck in the game. Basically, Texas Hold em’ has the same principles as the usual poker game. You can choose to fold, check, call, or raise, after two players put in the small blind and the big blind. By clicking on “Log in to Texas Hold em’ Poker” button, you will be asked to set up your privacy settings and to click the “Add Texas Hold Em’ Poker” button. Right after signing up to play, you will be given virtual chips for betting. The virtual chip represents play money, so you do not have to worry about spending the real thing. The game provides an option for players to try their hands on a tournament by clicking on the “tournaments” button or just enjoy a game with your friends by clicking on the “create table” button.

One of the best things about this is that the people playing this game do not lose real money. Additionally, players are given a fresh batch of virtual chips every day, and a player can also earn bonus chips by inviting friends to play. This way, players never experience being virtually broke! Texas Hold em’ also provides a “leader Board” which indicates the level of the player, the chips required to attain that position and the award given.

Texas Hold em’ will let you have a feel of the real thing without losing real money. Start betting!
