Normally publicity-averse Zuckerberg made a cameo appearance on “Saturday Night Live” alongside Jesse Eisenberg, who played the Facebook founder and CEO in The Social Network.

The Social Network Takes Top Honors At Golden Globe

fb thesocialnetwork 203x300 The Social Network Takes Top Honors At Golden GlobeBlockbuster movie about the story of Facebook, “The Social Network” swept the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards 2011.

The Social Network took home four Golden Globes Awards; for best motion picture – drama, beating other blockbusters like  The Fighter, Black Swan, and Inception; David Fincher for best director; Aaron Sorkin took the honors for Best Screenplay; and Best Original Score for Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

The Social Network was also nominated for two categories – best actor and best supporting actor.

While the account of the company in the movie is fully accepted by Facebook officials, the movie has put the networking site in the spotlight in many ways.

The Oscar is also coming up very soon and I am sure “The Social Network” will get a few nominations there too, though I cannot bet on winning the Oscars too. What do you think?

Trailer for Facebook Movie “The Social Network”

The much-hyped motion picture, “The Social Network”, which is a sensationalized version of the history of Facebook, has ended up on the internet. While not much more is exposed in the most recent trailer, there’s a number of actual clips from the film contained in this preview. It is obviously aiming to be a dramatic film and it’ looking like something really worth watching. Although Facebook is concerned about drawing negative publicity for the company, the clips don’t appear to be too damaging, while they certainly are drama-filled.
